Please keep in mind this is a fantasy movie for a fantasy time of the year. It was good enough to sit through, most movies of this genre are not intended to be taken any more seriously than this movie offered.
It's certainly not on the level of the classic "Christmas Vacation" (the Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo classic), but it's Christmas, folks.
