Another "third" that can't live up to the original

Like most of the other "3" movies that have come out this summer, Ocean's 13 wasn't bad, but it wasn't excellent. It was the exact same theme of the first one, but a new target, new tactics, and for a new purpose. Ocean's 13 is basically Ocean's 11: the goal is to con a major casino owner using their special skills, technology, and knowledge. This time however, it focuses on gambling instead of just stealing money.
During the movie, it felt like pieces of it were left out, and it left the audience somewhat confused.
I cannot decide whether to recommend this movie for theater viewing or not. Personally, I would advise to just wait for it to come out on DVD. It's not that big of a deal to buy a ticket for it. |
