Marion Cotillard gave a sensational performace in the movie. It's absolutely amazing that a young actress in her late "twenties" can portray a mature role with such genuine intensity and authenticity. ( Do pay extra attention to the movie scence where Edith found out about her lover's bad news... That particular movie sequence is simply "Brilliant"!!! The director amplifies the emotion in the scene with Edith's song that was inspired by the actual event. I was just so floored by it that i couldn't stop crying for 5 minutes.... ) |
