What the world needs now is laughter. We need to laugh often and much. Well this movie should get you to laugh often and much, if only for the hour and forty minutes that it lasts.

Robin Williams is like that battery that just keeps going and going and never seems to die. In this movie he is up to his old tricks. He takes a predictable storyline and generates a little comedy, a little romance, a little drama and lots of delightful moments.

Of course it helps that he has Mandy Moore as his co-star. Her angelic look, innocent charm, and adorable smile help invigorate an otherwise very boring fairy-tale.

This story is about an engaged couple that go to the future bride's parish priest and ask him to marry them. He requires that they go through a proficiency test to see for themselves whether or not they are worthy of each other as marriage partners.

Needless to say, the priest (Robin Williams) creates so much havoc in the lovebirds lives that the wedding is called off.

However, because this is a fairy-tale and fairy-tales have happy endings, "License to Wed" ends on a happy note. There is a happy ending.

The fun is in seeing how all of this unravels and how Robin Williams, Mandy Moore, John Krasinski, Christine Taylor, and Josh Fitter make seeing "License to Wed" a very enjoyable experience.

Two thumbs up!
