Why do Yahoo users keep saying that the couple would have simply gone to another church and therefore the movie is implausible?
The movie is about a jerko "priest" who obviously should not have a license to wed. Hence, the title "License To Wed."
It's a "What if" movie, as in: What if a flaky priest tried to ruin the marriage plans of an unwitting couple?
The movie is funny. But if you're hung up on reality TV and you can't escape into a hilarious and implausible situation, then do not go see it.
And if you do go see it but find it implausible because you have no imagination, please don't come here bellyaching about how disappointed you were. Read the title of the movie again: License To Wed. The whole point is that this guy should not have a license to wed. We wouldn't have much of a movie if he was normal, or if the couple didn't go along with his flaky plan to test their compatibility. |
