It's creepy but be prepared for a mini-let-down

Warning: Contains VERY slight spoilers.

The main reason I wanted to see this film was because of the fact that the director (who I've not experienced previously) is suppose to be the next horror writer. He can achieve "creepyness" without needing a massive budget.

In all the film definately creates an eerie and uncomfortable atmosphere and it's great. Reminded me of "The Thing" in a way.

Be prepared for alot of "What's going on.." questions but I assure you most of it makes sense towards the end, (sort of).

My main worry about the reviews for this film is the "hype and fashion statement" factor.
Yes, the film highlights a good idea but the ending is absolutely stupid and could have been rounded off without having to create a physical monster. It was as if the intelligence ran out and it was added to make something more our of the underlined reason for all the strange stuff going on.

I'm 99% sure that the ending is a sort of metaphore for the "evil's" intention and I'm sure the director had a deep meaning for the "evil" that is potrayed more and more torwards the end.

I think that's why alot of pompus people will rate it high. They like talking about the meaning of something rather than sitting back and thinking, "Why does there have to be a meaning for me to TRY and work out? Why couldn't the director have cut out the whole rediculous ending and ended it more sensibly?".

You will find the same people that rate this A+ will also like films such as "Mulholland Dr". Films that you talk of whilst looking at a piece of modern art showing a circle on a square.

Regardless of the stupid ending though.
It's still worth watching if you want to experience the genuine "creeped out" feeling.

There's certainly a classic scene with a video camera in the dark and I really wish the director had done more moments like that because those sort of situations are really really spine tingling.
