Thought-provoking and powerful

Ok, as with the other movies I love, this one's not for everyone. It's true that the movie is slow and concentrates a lot on mundane details. But I'm surprised so many people seem to think that makes it boring. The movie is beautifully done and wonderfully acted. The slowness of the film is artistic and powerful. However, it's true that you do need to see the symbolism, irony, and emotions that dwell beneath the surface. The film forces you to see the beauty and importance of what would appear to be ordinary things. If you like movies like Gerry or Safe, check this one out. |
