To me, this truly is a Masterpiece. It is so touching and powerful.
And nobody (almost) knew about this true story. I thank the film makers for making it, and reminding us of the injustice that exist in the world.
Oh, and to usgrant1964, the guy who left a review saying that the Algerians were rapists, murderers and that this film was propaganda. You must take into account that American soldiers, and soldiers from all around the world also committed those crimes. But it is not exploited in any other of the films I've seen. So before you go on saying "propaganda" about this film of Algerians, remember that raping, murder and all those things including propaganda itself, happen all around the world. It is ONE of the atrocities of war. |
