Forgotten history

As usual the facts of Africans, the facts of Muslims are put behind the curtains. I couldn't help tears in my eyes. I was expecting people would watch this movie too but unlike Private Ryan and other war stories, factual movies are not very popular. I liked 'Days of Glory' a lot because it puts so much history to the floor. In the movie, African Muslims left their homelands after a draem, liberty, freedom. Always fought in the front unlike their French brothers never get promoted...
The moment I liked very much in the movie:
Labir: The French soldiers killed our whole family. Did they massacre them? What did they call it?
Yassir: They called it... Pacification.
Although actors performed very well, I think some war scenes were not very well directed. Sound effects would be used more effective to give the feeling better. But overall, the enthusiasm of soldiers for liberty and free France and their binds to each other was reflected very well in the movie. |
