Obviously by the A plus rating, I am stating the obvious; unequivicaly that I LOVED this movie. OK, so I am a Ben Kingsley fan (Ghandi & Sexy Beast being my faves) but as far a genres go, the gangster, recovery, romantic comedy thread was just so well played, and executed to perfection. Both Kingsley and Leoni clicked perfectly, plot & theme excellently developed and direction was flawless. The only possible drawback to the film was that a couple of the jokes were 'inside' AA funnies. But beleive me, there was enough laughter to go around. Belly laffs. Subtle laffs. Quiet chuckles. This was one funny flick. |
