Demi Moore IS flawless, outstanding !

I now take back all the bad things and thought about Demi Moore's acting prior to this movie.
The plot was intricate. The energy of the movie was riveting. The moral dilemma was thought provoking. The dialogue was typical of British movies, faster and more intricate (and frequently competing with background sounds) than most of our American movies, keeping me on the edge of my seat, processing every word and phrase.
Michael Caine's excellent performance was expected. He, like Dustin Hoffman, can become credible as most any type of character.
But, I was totally unprepared for how perfect Demi Moore was -- believable in character and motivation, speech like that of an American who has lived continuously in Britain for 25 years, and the absolutely perfect mannerisms of a 38-year-old woman in 1960. Every primp of her hair, every tug of her skirt and suit shoulders, and every body movement, including her cigarette smoking, was exactly the way educated professional women of 1960 comported themselves.
Regarding her speech, Demi Moore sounded more English in "Flawless" than the English ex-patriot women I see regularly here in the States.
Ms. Moore's portrayal of the character as an older woman was also completely credible to me -- again in speech and mannerisms. I dare say that if you walked the streets of London today, you would observe many women just like her character.
Finally, as a male who has welcomed women's rightful recognition in employment advancement and who was well aware of the employment prejudices extant in the 1960s, I was glad to see this accurately portrayed within the plot of the movie.
