I went to a preview of this, and found that my initial impression was right on. At times it is fall out of your seat funny (a lot of visual comedy, not many coke flowing out of your nose one-liners), but the overall movie isn't anything special. It does hit what they aimed for - another commercially cranked out comedy that will rake in a few million. It's not designed to be oscar worthy or life changing. It should do decent at the box office for about 3 weeks, and then it will be forgotten until you walk by it in the video store. If you want to have a good laugh with some friends then shell out the $11.00. If you're looking for something with more substance then don't set yourself up for disappointment. Hold off & wait for it's video release. |
