My husband and I took gramma and the kids (ages 7 and 4) to see this movie on Thanksgiving. The kids had been waiting anxiously for weeks for this movie to come out. Honestly, I expected to be disappointed - but we ALL loved it!
Yes it is a parody of the older style of Disney movies but Amy Adams is so believably innocent and charming - she completely draws you into her world and makes you forget your initial skepticism.
If it means anything - my husband is a "Blood n' Guts" type of guy - gratuitous violence all the way. But even he has said - at LEAST 5 times - "I just can't believe how much I enjoyed that movie!"
It's worth the money. |
