Definitely the best written and the best acted film of the year. Excellent performances all the way around, everyone does an wonderful job and Mr. Hoffman is proving himself to be THE definitive actor of today's acting crop. Both he and Miss Linney give outstanding performances as troubled and tortured brothers and sisters who are faced with dealing with an elderly father who is now unable to care for himself. The story truly hits close to home for millions of Americans who are in the same boat and tells the tale beautifully. Very refreshing, very heart-warming, very sad, and ultimately very realistic. Surely the best movie of the year in terms of acting. Hoffman and Linney should both get Oscar nods. Enjoy!! |
