Elizabeth is absoultely stunning. The costumes and sets make you feel like you are back in 1585. The acting job by Cate Blanchett is oscar worthy. She portrays Elizabeth as an extremely strong woman in public but behind closed doors we see that she is just as vunerable and afraid as the rest of us. One memorable line in the movie is "Since when have you been afraid?" "I always have been". Blanchett saying the latter quote. Blanchett gives an amazing and convincing performance. The rest of the actors too give a wonderful performance but nothing to the caliber of Blanchett. The story is good but confusing as there are many characters and they can be easily confused until about halfway through the movie. The movie also seems like it's lacking something. You feel bored because there isn't enough going on, but yet you're confused because too much is going on. Overall I would go see this movie in theaters just for the sheer beauty of it.
