I was so eager to see a movie with some substance finally and chose this one because of the critics' remarks in the paper. I no longer will trust Ropert and his sidekicks' reviews anylonger because this movie was absolutely pointless and dull. Yeah, okay the queen didn't like Princess Di,and didn't want to give her a public funeral...blah, blah, blah. Was it necessary to make a movie to reveal this? Besides watching excessive footage of the beautiful hills and acreage that surround the palace (basically to use up minutes), it relies ALOT on clips from news shows and interviews of Diana to "create" a movie. This "might" have been a story more suitable for TV at best. The look-a-like casting was well done but that's the only thing nice I can say about this film. I'm sorry I didn't look at the yahoo reviews first (like my kids suggested). Live and learn :) |
