Dreadful!

I supposed there was a good story in the script somewhere - the family dynamics, the conflict of expectations versus tolerating people for who they are - but it was lost in this mess of acting, directing and editing. Margot a "hurricane"? Couldn't tell it from Nicole Kidman's "acting", as she came across as having OD'd on lithium. Same goes for all the other actors. As I lost interest in the film, I closed my eyes and listened to the dialogue, and it was one long continuous steam of monotony. The story went nowhere and ended right where it started. The only thing to anticipate in viewing this movie is the credits at the end. |
