OK guys - understand that Underdog was not meant to be Ghandi or Gone With The Wind - it is meant to be a juvenile fantasy for dog lovers. It lives up to all three - it is juvinile, tantasy and it appeals to dog lovers.
I think Wally Cox would be glad that his character kept the same loving and pure attitude. It should be noted that Wally was the voice of Underdog until his passing in 1973.
The plot is time tested, the theme is the unconditional love of dogs to little boys and to everyone.
I am a boy of 47 - sure i felt it was juvinile at times, but I looked forward to underdog and just hope it comes out in HD! |
