Funniest if you speak French

The subtitles for this movie actually removed about 30% of the humor (or more!). Clearly this movie had a decent budget. Why the let-down with the translation? So if you speak French you will find this movie very funny. Otherwise perhaps just so-so.
No doubt this movie will find new life as an American romantic-comedy. If I am right, a couple of added twists at the end would up the enjoyment factor.
Also, how about finding a woman closer in age to the rich guy (or a younger, hunkier, rich guy)? It never ceases to amaze me, the rich fantasy life of an aging male director/producer/casting director. Time and time again, a beautiful young woman is cast to be "in love with" an old fogie. Get over it, guys! A woman your own age might even understand some of your neurotic tendencies, i.e. this never ending thirst to relive adolescence. |
