I am very glad that I chose this film although its themes are a little obscure. The origin of genius still remains a mystery, no matter how many child prodegys(like Mozart) still remain rooted in myth. If the film had explored this more instead of verging into soap opera, it may have become a classic. The performances by the two child actors that play Vitus are outstanding. The film is done in by the overdeveloped subplots but should be seen on DVD just for the two actors performances. |
