Unfortunately I cannot, since it is not being shown anywhere near where I live. No theater within ICBM-range of my house is showing this excellent film, yet theater after theater is showing the latest Cedric the "entertainer" stinktacular. Where's the justice? I mean, come on - I live less than 30 minutes from Manhattan - it's not like I live out in the middle of nowhere! I can go to see any other Warner Brothers movie that's out there now...but I don't want to see any of them. I want to see Letters From Iwo Jima. But while Happy Feet has been in theaters for more than 8 weeks and is still in over 2 thousand theaters - Letters has been out for 3 weeks and is showing in FIVE theaters nationwide? What's the deal, Warner Brothers? Afraid that too many people will come to appreciate quality cinema, forcing you to actually TRY? Will Happy Feet be up for Best Picture? For crying out loud - Santa Clause 3 is still showing in over 200 theaters - it's been out for 10+ weeks, and it is almost 3 weeks after Christmas!!! And you wonder why fewer people go to see movies. |
