I have never given an A+ before. I refuse to go "over the top" on any rating so this comes from my heart. Eastwood's film got to me, the drama, the action, and especially the characters as they struggled with their duty, their love of their country as well as their families. It was a gripping story. Satisfying yet sad, thrilling while tragic as any war is. The naysayers for this movie will be the people who hate any politcal statement against war, but Eastwood didn't set out to make a political statement, just a factual character portrayal of men trying to come to grips with the brutality and fear they had to face. |
