Interesting and Unique

I saw the trailer for this movie a while ago and thought it seemed interesting. I waited for it to come to theaters, but while waiting found it at Target. Apparently an extremely limited release. One thing you should know about this reviewer is that I am a movie fanatic. I see at least one movie I have never seen before a week. That being said, I tend to see alot of the same thing repackaged and resold to the American movie going audience.
"Dedication" was something new and different. The most important thing for making a movie good in my mind. Because it is so unusual, it is at times hard to follow. But really, isn't anything worth watching worth thinking about?
The acting is amazing, you forget that Billy Crudup is actually this really attractive actor. He becomes this jerky obbsesive compulsive pecimist. Mandy Moore was amazing, I am slightly biased because I am inclined to like her in anything even though at times she chooses odd movies (how to deal?). Tom Wilkenson-AMAZING. He was the best character of the entire film.
The storyline was good, but what was awesome was the direction. I feel like anyone could have taken the same story and came out with a cookie cutter romantic comedy. This movie seemed to show that not only perfect, tiny, gorgeous, well-adjusted people can fall in love. Everyone can. |
