This is a very well written and directed film. Surprisingly, the screenplay and direction are by Sarah Polley who appeared in the movie Go, the Sweet Hereafter as well as My Life Without Me.
She is only 28 years old yet achieves a level of mastery here comparable to Bergman. This movie is not for immature audiences.
Younger audiences will not have the patience for this. But older audiences who look for films of substance will appreciate this.
Sarah Polley is now a director to look for in the future. |
