Possible Spoiler Alert.
Why? WHY!? Why would the Producers use an actor named Mark Chapman to play John Lennon? You NEVER even see the guys face, so what was the point? The guy in The Bank Job looked EXACTLY like Lennon. Wasn't he available? Stupid and insensitive casting! Leto completely immersed himself in the role of Chapman, but in the end it really seemed self indulgent. It was completely unnecessary to gain the weight as the only time it mattered was when we had to look at his fat naked body in the hotel room. Lindsay Lohan was a bright spot in the tiny little role that she played and they did a nice job recreating the look and feel of 1980 N.Y. But, you should save your money and avoid this in the theater. Come to think of it, save your time and miss this one altogether. |
