At least in the Catcher in the Rye (the novel that was very important to Chapman) there was a plot. It wasn't obvious or specific, but it clearly identified its poignant points without boring the reader. Unfortunately, this film just had no plot and really didn't have to be made. I hate to type this, but I couldn't wait for him to shoot Lennon!
Jared Leto was terrific as Chapman and even Lindsay Lohan was pretty good. But good acting doesn't make a story. I wish it would. |
