One of the best foreign movies I have seen in ages is this tale of a little Russian kid who escapes from a grimy rural orphanage to find the mother who abandoned him.
The acting - particularly by this six year old kid and the other inmates of the institution is so natural you feel you are watching an expose of orphanages in Russia today.
Go see this movie - this kid will break your heart! |
