Actually I should have given this movie a B+, but the damning reviews pissed me off so much that I decided to give it A+ just so.
It is a good movie, not boring at all (Jumper was more boring even though it did not treat such difficult themes as this one), very well acted and with superb locations. It is a movie about time and redemption through or outside time. While it might puzzle those who look for a clean cut movie like Conversation, or for a family saga like The Godfather, this movie has an Eastern European feeling. It is tender, humane and profound in the same time. I'll definitely buy it on dvd. |
