Critics need to shut up!

Im just amazed by the growing stupidity of US movie critics nowadays. They seem to forget why movies are made in the first place, and not every movie is meant to compete for an oscar. People go to the movies to be entertained, to enjoy adrenalin rush, to see outstanding visuals. Nowadays it seems the only the only way you would earn the respect of critics was if you made a movie about two gay cowboys ass*****ing each other. Well newsflash the opinions of critics don't do squat no more. Movies earn money with or without good reviews by these frustrated movie writers, or are so critcal about pop-corn flicks because they wish it was them out there making millions out of the box office.

Besides, some of these critically acclaimed movies, and even award winning films, actually did so bad in the US box office, that their international release needed to be permanently cancelled, because movie operators would rather go with the audience demand. So I suggest they start rating movies according to its genre, and not assume that all movies aim to get an academy award.

Let me quote some of the moronic reviews I read. "high on action low on drama" Ugh! Do they say the same thing about broke back mountain? its high on drama but low on action? (well maybe the man to man tent action counts I guess). Its an action flick? What do you expect? You expect fight scenes, kick ass fights to be exact. Fights that you don't see everyday, and I think the movie suceeds at that level, it delivers. Just as when you buy a ticket for fast and the furious tokyo drift, you want to see kick asss cars, drift racing and asian babes shaking their asses. People are getting kinda sick of the crouching tiger hidden dragon stuff, and boy oh boy does tony jaa deliver. His movies will do for thai martial arts, what bruce lee movies did to kung fu!

The direction was also awesome, it did not copy elements from chinese martial arts flicks (as most holywood fight flicks do. The cinematography was tastefull, and the director know how to set the background for a kickass fight.

Another moronic critic wrote something about how the story about a man looking for two elephants was preposterous. Oh man, do I sense American ethnocentrism again. Why is it that Americans have to assume the every country in the planet has got to have a piece of thier American culture just to earn their respect? Absolutely this critic should stick to watching Rambo or Arnold movies. In Thailand elephants are sacred, just as cow ***** is sacred in India. I think the story was not so much of a cliche, I mean how many movies have you seen featured a syndicate that runs a restaurant using endagered species as menu. Now thats something original.

Finaly, let me just remind movie critics that no matter how hard they bash pop-corn flicks they will still make a lot of money so they can eat their hearts out.
