America Doesn't Know

I've seen the FULL version of The Protector from Thailand, where it was made. The American version had pieces cut out of the storyline for some reason, so it didn't flow together very well. I really don't understand why they did this...
Anyways...on to the ignorance of American reviews:
Some people actually wrote about how ridiculous it was for the story to be about a guy trying to find his elephants. I'm sure if it was about the Holy Grail or something Christian-like, it would get a freakin' Oscar. If you don't know about Thai culture and Buddhist Thai culture. I mean honestly...how can you judge a movie from a different country when you don't understand the premise of it? It clearly states the point of elephants as a big part in Thai culture in the beginning of the movie.
The action was great, not as good as Ong-Bak though, but nevertheless eye-popping. At one point, Tony Jaa's character in the movie breaks as many bones as possible in a few minutes.
This movie would flow along better if the American editors didn't cut almost 30 minutes from the movie.
Go see the movie, enjoy the action, study about elephants and shut up.
