I celebrate the fact that the Mormon church was unsuccessful in it's long long attempt to keep this tale of truth from being revealed. I just saw the movie tonight and it was brilliant and mostly accurate. As an Arkansan, a Native American, and someone who lived among the Mormons for many years in Utah, I am so happy to see this film out on the big screen. I only wish at the end of the film that they had shown the Mountain Meadow Massacre Monument that the Mormon Church erected as an apology to the Massacre that took so many innocent lives. I have stood on the spot where the massacre took place and I am glad their story is finally being told! |
