I really enjoyed this movie. Being an Asian American male, it was very refreshing to see an Asian male in a lead role. It was also great to see that this Asian male was not a martial arts expert. I thought Ken Leung did an excellent job! I also thought that Hayden did a wonderful job as well. I thought the movie had a lot of humor too. I thought the relationship between Liam and Joe was hilarious. "You look like Ronald Reagan...." The one bad thing is that there was no kiss in a movie called Shanghai kiss. Even after all the progress Asians have made, there is still too much of a push back that they had to leave the end kissing scene on the deleted scenes and not in the actual movie. |
