Beer League is exactly the type of movie you would expect from any movie with the word "Beer" in the title. While obviously more for a male audience, my wife also enjoyed it much more than she expected she would. The jokes are of the "blue collar / east coast / italian neighborhood" variety but I thought very original and often hilarious. I found the portrayal of adults taking their sports far more seriously than they should very realistic as I have more than a few friends who play their respective sports as if they are still going to make the pros. While not a film for your grandparents, anyone should enjoy this movie while sitting back, relaxing on the couch with a beer and pizza. |
