If you love European soccer and watched in awe as the galacticos nearly ruled the world, you will love this movie. It's stylish and dramatic, although it falls short of providing the surprises and emotional impact of the first movie. The soccer action is fantastic, and as the director says, it is almost nerve wracking watching actors act like soccer stars, and soccer stars act like actors. You'll see them all- Beckham, Zidane, Ronaldo, Robinho and even some of the lesser knowns to those outside Spanish football who have prominent non-speaking roles(come to think of it, none of the players have lines), like Guti, Casillas, and Thomas Gravesen. This dvd is available through sellers on ebay outside the US- South and Central American versions (region 4) are usually also region 1 if you want to see it. If you like light, pleasant, predictable entertainment with the opportunity to see real soccer stars, I recommend that you watch this movie. |
