I wanted to like this movie and from the reviews I thought it was a no-brainer, but this movie is just awful. Nothing happens. Its just brutal and boring. Roger Ebert used to talk about a rule that if nothing happens by the end of the first reel, nothing is going to happen. This movie certainly adheres to that. The minutes just tick by and you wait for something compelling, something interesting, anything, but no, you just squirm in your seat thinking about other things you could have done with your ten bucks and your time. The box office speaks all. They thought this film would be a hit but its a dud. |
