Often snow, sometimes an angel...

That's life. And that a movie so well-crafted, so loaded with visceral truth ends up with a one-week run and grosses $250,000, shouldn't come as a surprise, but it does.
Moments of gritty anger, giddy first-love, hope and hopelessness, despair, and true friendship...all woven together in this "march of life" - like the marching band in the movie. We watch and tiptoe inside the psychology of these snow angels - what brought them to where they are now.
If David Lynch was teaching a filmmaking class, this would have been the crowning jewel of the class projects. Somewhere between "Blue Velvet" and "Juno" a lasting impression is left in the cold snow. |
