Amazing movie.

Brilliant movie. It flows brilliantly, and although the scene at the beggining spoils what ultimately is a sad ending, you are still left feeling that there is happiness in this story too.
The parallel narratives allow for the movie to take on two faces, the face of new love and all it's youthful exuberance. It also shows the ugly side of love, the insecurity and desperation it can bring to some.
It's great to finally see a movie that sways away from the safe option of a happy ending. It's stories like these, stories that show the true character of people and the vunerability of human nature that should be praised. |
