A new high for sidelining Truth

There is nothing great about this movie. The story and characters are so grossly fictionalize that I had to stop watching. Everyone likes a good story (I do) but no one likes to be totally lied to. There was no such woman in Beethoven's life and likewise there was no such Beethoven interacting the way this one did with her. And Beethoven cried when he was turned around at the premiere of his 9th to face the applause - not smiles with glee.
Do your self a favor and something neat. Read Wikipedia on Beethoven while playing his 9th on your ipod. You'll be left with a vastly more profound feeling for the work, the man, and the truth. |
