If you are expecting to see a movie about a little girl visiting mystical creatures, rent "Alice in Wonderland." Pan's Labyrinth should be called "The Spanish Civil War as seen through the Eyes of a Child". If you enjoyed "Schindler's List" or "Saving Private Ryan", this movie is for YOU! It is dark (not pretty as some critics say). It is bloody and gross. If you enjoy seeing someone murdered by a glass bottle, this movie is for YOU! The trailer and pictures for this film make it appear to be a beautiful movie filled with mystical creatures. At most, that is 25% of the film. The rest of the film is war, torture, death, murder. Have fun! |
