The Book is Always Better

In this case as usual the book is better than the movie. I have read it every year to my 2nd grade class since the book came out. It is one of the most remembered. In my opinion, they changed too much from the book. However, I am a literalist and I never want them to change a thing so that being said most people probably won't mind the differences. The story is still great. I took my nieces who are 4 and 9 and they both loved it. The 4 year old clapped and the end and kept yelling Desperaux, Desperaux!!! It's worth seeing. Kate DeCamillo's next book "The Adventures of Edward Tulane" is currently being made into a movie. I hope they hold a little closer to the book. |
