Not what I was expecting.

The trailers for this movie lead you to believe that it is a fantasy story about a world created by two children, and that the majority of the story takes place in this fantasy world. I'm not sure why the trailers present the story this way, perhaps because the producers felt this would draw the biggest crowd, but this is not the case. The fantasy word is only a very small part of the story, with most of the fantasy world scenes being shown in the trailers. The story is that of two misfit youths who become friends and invent a fantasy world to escape some of lifes harsher realities. Be warned that the story takes a tragic turn, and may not be appropriate for all audiences. If you are looking for that "feel good" family movie, THIS IS NOT IT! It is a decent story for what it is, and not a bad movie, just not at all what I was expecting based on the way it is presented in the trailers. |
