Critics are idiots and have no depth

Maybe it was because I was adopted that I could really appreciate a deeper connection to this movie. I found my natural parents when I was in my late 30's and totally connected to this film. My father never knew I was conceived. My search for them became frantic after I decided to look for them, very similarly to the mother's search for her son and vice versa. This part of the movie was VERY real. The "music" theme in the movie was nothing more than that - a medium to bring them together.
For the critics to call this a sappy fairytale completely misses the point. One critic even said people would be rushing the doors after it was finished. Quite the opposite... the clapping that took place was quite impressive. I sat and cried with my girlfriend, both in the theater and in the car afterwards..... and we are both in our 50's.
Many, many people stayed throughout the credits, probably to give them a chance to dry their eyes.
I don't know what the critics were looking for here, but it is obvious that they are very shallow people and missed it completely.
For the public who wrote reviews, many of them got it, some of them "sort of" got it, and some didn't get it at all. While the public is certainly welcome to their opinions and viewpoints, they critics are paid to review movies. I just can't believe they are that shallow.
For those of you who experienced adoption or giving up a child, you need to see this. If you don't cry, I will pay for your ticket.
For the rest of you, I hope you look deeper into the true story in this film, and it wasn't about music.
For the critics, may you find another job. |
