I was enthusiastic about this film. Ali Larter does a great job on HEROES, and Salman is a stellar well-respected actor; however, the film appeared to be low-budget, poorly produced, and a botch. I went out of my way to see this limitedly released film, and wish there was a way to get my money back (Orange County to Covina). I'm sure the intentions of all parties were good, but Ali Larter is the most destroyed after this project. Her good name is matyred by the bollywood spin, something I'm sure she has no idea about. Hollywood seems to be too eager to steal India's cinematic thunder these days. Other films that dissapointed me are "The Guru" and recently "Partition" which is just a remake of the Punjabi Shaheed-E-Mohabbat and Hindi Gaddar. Yet, at the end of the day, I guess it just comes down to making a buck, even if that means selling sh*t! |
