A must see in 3-D but not for little ones!

If you go in with strong anticipation and comparison's to corpse bride or nightmare before Christmas you might be a little disappointed. But all in all, it was a very good movie that I felt was heavily influenced by Alice and Wonderland.
Like a modern, creepy, trippy version of it.
I was definitely surprised by how mature some of it was. It's extremely dark at times and has a very sinister tone through out the movie. So I can see how parents bringing their little kids to this would be shocked. There's no way I'd take a kid under 8 to see this movie but for all the teens and adults that love amazing visuals and a good story. A a must see in my opinion.
I'd highly recommend you seeing this in 3-D as it adds a vibrant depth to the movie that is lost if you don't.
So I do recommend this movie but definitely look for a babysitter for this one or you're kids will undoubtedly be tucked in next to you with a night-light for the next week or two. |
