meet the Parents , meet the Fockers and now meet the Robinsons not the Parents, a bright inventive kid who unlike Jimmy Neutron does not wanna get rid of his family but wants to have one.
First thing I liked about this movie was the futuristic look,not like Back to the Future II, Children of Men and many other movies the future in this film is neat, clean, Organized and fun, our streets and places are much cleaner than 50 years ago so I assume they would even look better in the next decades not dirty and all.
Frogs seem very popular in animated features now a days since they were in Hoodwinked and Flushed away but lets not forget that this movie started before the release of any of those , so enjoy The Beetles Eaters a.k.a. singing frogs.
Lot better than Chicken Little and though many people put that on Pixar's account, the Project started much before Disney Pixar merger and in fact back then Pixar and Disney were about to part forever.Well I am not an insider so I don't know how much Pixar improved the story ( that is what they are very good at ) but even if they wanted to they had not enough time.
The story is not as complicated as critics like it to be neither very smart but for most of the children it is easy to get and follow,except the first 10 minutes the pace is very good and rhythm is great , Danny Elfman's score is very delightful and worth of mentioning.
A poster on the wall appears to be Tesla, if you have seen The Prestige you know who I am talking about.
Fun , worth of time and money specially for kids.
One last quick note, if your child is adopted go see this movie first then take your child, I am not suggesting that the movie is offensive to adopted children, on the contrary the hero is one, but if you have a history with your adopted child, some scenes might make him feel alone . |
