I have been a fan of King Arthur all along. I have to say that the movie has an interesting storyline, the movie 'The Last Legion' being based on a legend... in fact several legends put together.
Colin firth delivers a performance that comes a long way from him being 'Mr Darcy'. His sword fighting skills and being the leading man may have saved the movie. But there is also a mysterious warrior played by
Aishwarya rai (the role of mira), a female warrior.(She is strikingly beautiful) She does pull off a rather entertaining performance which I'm sure is also quite different from the musicals she is more accustomed to from india's bollywood films.
Then of course Ben Kingsley (legend himself) who acts role of the teacher/wizard.
Overall, coming from a powerful cast, this movie could have been better. There were moments that were pretty dull and cheesy, but heh so was 300.
So the movie did good in my books. I enjoyed a good friday night adventure. |
