I recently established a new system for rating a movie. My wife and I are kinda fussy about movies at the theater with all the rentals available and we are old enough to not be (anymore) one of those that has to see the newest releases. So on a rather mundane afternoon we ventured out to see Perfect Stranger. We had done our homework reading a few reviews. We also knew going in that this was not going to be up for an academy award or picture of the year. However we both liked Halle Berry and Bruce Willis so we said "what the hey"....
A little background. My wife is a voracious reader and an English teacher. Me, I pay lip service to being a movie critic, but as I get older I realize that the art wanna be in me is behind me and I enjoy what I want when I want and finally if I want. I don't have to explain myself to anybody. I am what I am and so forth. I also am aware that my wife go's to the restroom a lot when we go to movies. Some more then then others. I also noticed that the better the film the less often she go's. It's just my opinion I could be wrong. This was one of those movies where she never got up once. I knew that no matter what I thought it had to be a good one based on that alone. By the way it is an excellent movie and we both recommend it. If you are a frequent restroom person I suggest you get it done before the movie starts. I now have my new rating system in place. It go's from a one BR call to Four or more. The lower the number the better the movie. If you don't believe me just ask my wife. And oh yes, I don't know who you are but the person that bills herself as MOVIE MOM. She needs to get some other work. If anyone else was that far off in their job they wouldn't have one. I hear their looking for some refreshment workers at local theaters.
