The lake country has never looked so beautiful on film. The animation was well used and creatively brought to life Miss Potter's relationship with her creations. It is a wonderful thing to see a film that so successfully captures the creative process and the relationship between an artist's inner and outer lives. One of my favorite films of the last year. It is a pity it is playing to empty houses. I guess it is because there are no car crashes, beheadings or nude romps. Though Peter spends much of his screen time somewhat naked... perhaps that is the angle the marketers should have used... |
