After reading the reviews from critics and other Yahoo users, I was reluctant to go and see this movie. I just left the theater and raced home to write this review. This movie was awesome!!! The beginning of the movie did not impress me. The dance moves did not go with the music that was being played, the soundtrack, (eg. rock music to hip-hop dancing) but throughout the course of the movie the music did catch up to the moves. This movie is about dancing but there is a deeper message....that of brotherhood! This movie only uses dancing as a mere portal to get that across. I was very impressed how this movie used the underlying message of brotherhood and teamwork, to show how people can be overcomers if they only change their thinking and realize that it is not only about yourself. This movie is strong and portrays a very positive message. To me, that is what matters most. I loved this movie and will definitely add it to my collection when it is released on DVD. |
