Unfortunately, many of these user reviews have obviously been conducted by those without any education on the matter, and reinforcing this notion is the abundance of ignorant and condescending anti-liberal remarks. This film remarks at the blatant inequality that plagues our world. Why is it that three British citizens should be removed from their lives for three years in one of the most notorious prisons in the world? I hate to bring this up, but does anyone think that a U.S. "mistake" like this one would have happened to three caucasian Brits? I confidently doubt that it would.
The premise of this movie is an example of the irrefutable inequality throughout the world. As the world superpower it is the responsibility of the United States government to maintain a positive diplomatic example for the rest of the world.
- A United States Lance corporal was killed by an explosion at Haditha, Iraq on November 19th, 2005. At the beginning of this month, June 2nd, 2006, it was discovered that in U.S. soldiers from Kilo company in fact slaughtered twenty four (+) unarmed Iraqi citizens in retaliation. Military officials blamed the delay of the investigation on the Marine squad's efforts to cover up the events.
And online film reviews written by uneducated and close-minded American citizens only serve to answer the question we should all be asking ourselves: Why is the Land of the Free easily the most hated nation throughout the world?
